This is a 5 day camp for French Horn students only! We also welcome students who are interested in making the switch to Horn from another instrument!
Open to all Horn Students - We offer classes and ensembles for Beginners, Intermediate, Early Advanced, and College Prep levels. We include a healthy morning and afternoon snack, one-on-one lesson with instructors, camp t-shirt, various horn maintenance kit supplies and end the week with a pizza party (lunch) and reception for students and their guests after the concert on Friday afternoon.
Payment deadlines: $50 Non-refundable deposit - June 15th; 1st Tuition Payment of $150 also due by June 15th; Final Tuition Payment of $150 due by July 1st. (Total Camp payment is $350). If we have spots still available, last minute registrations and payments will be accepted past the July 1st deadline. Please contact us if you’re a late entry (after July 1). We also have a limited partial tuition scholarship fund. If you need help attending camp, please contact Mrs. Harvey or email email@example.com with your request. Two siblings in the same family will automatically receive a partial scholarship. Please indicate 2nd sibling on your registration form.
Student Performance (all family and guests are welcome) on Friday, July 19 at 1:00 in the DSA Concert Hall.
Camp activities during the week will include horn maintenance, high/low register improvement, ensemble playing, solo help, music theory, scale playing fun, horn technique, audition help, college horn studio audition prep, alp horn, natural horn, Wagner tuben, etc. Our theme this year will be horn music in movies. We will be celebrating the west coast horn tradition and LA Studio sound. Immersive experiences with studio musicians and a look into life as a horn player in the movie scene. We will study popular Horn works by film composers, including James Horner, John Williams and others!
